Born in 1997, Thando Salman was raised in Eastern Cape and later moved to Johannesburg, where he has been based in Kempton Park. Salman enrolled at Wits for four years- studying Fine Arts.
Thando Salman's practice involves using multiple mediums that investigate the contemporary existence of young Middle-class black youth in South Africa, particularly Johannesburg- Investigating the effect such an experience has on their characteristics and identity.
