Selloane Moeti was born in KwaZulu Natal. She received her degree in Fine Art majoring in painting and sculpture from the Durban University of Technology (2009). Moeti was the winner of the KZN Young Achiever Award in Visual Arts (2018), she won first prize at the KwaZulu Natal Society of Arts members exhibition (2019) and she was awarded the Feature Artist prize at UNDERLINE Projects, an exhibition platform for independent curators (2019). Moeti was selected as a participating artist for the RMB Talent Unlocked program (2021). She is a co-founder of Sketchin’, a figure-drawing project aimed at empowering young artists in Durban and rural KwaZulu-Natal. Moeti’s works have been featured in various publications and shown in several galleries; her works are a part of numerous public and private collections.
