Wonder Buhle is a South African artist born in 1989 in Kwangcolosi, the south of KwaZulu Natal. He received his first formal training from the Bat Centre Visual Arts Residency Program in Durban, (2010). He studied fine art under the mentorship of Themba Shibase as Velobala apprenticeship program at Durban University of Technology (2011-2013). Buhle had his first solo show at the Durban Art Gallery (2018) and recently had his second solo show at the PhilippZollinger Gallery in Switzerland (2019). Buhle had participated in numerous group exhibition both in South Africa and abroad, including a three months art residency in Bremen as the recipient of the Bremer Kunststipendum Art Grant of 2016, he is a recent recipient of the Royal Overseas League Scholarship, partnered with the Arthouse in the United Kingdom Wakefield (2018).
