In life there’s always going to be some type suffering no matter what, yet we are in an era where we cannot hide our traumas anymore. And to understand the nature of human connectedness, I always consider plants from which we all breathe oxygen as vital in healing. Therefore, healing is central to my entire art practice. The work that i create is always in direct relation to my audience and I touch topics that some consider as simple while others see as complex. While my subjects tend to appear simple in finished works, this simplicity portrays complexities of various relationships between the human body and nature. Where there’s life, there’s struggle. And this always comes in so many forms which are depicted by different body languages. It’s these languages that we all share. The collage elements in my work represent freedom to create and the patience involved. My work offers different options for the viewer to interpret what it means and how it speaks to them. To me, this is an open space and it’s safe for everyone that identifies with my work.
