Aura of Mystery is an imaginary painting that describes inner pain, a singular experience that alters the world around us. The work’s subject matter continues to entertain the reality of depression and alienation that is brought by modern life in different provinces. The inspiration of the work is lifted from American author and film director Antwone Fisher’s poem “Who will cry for a little boy” where he pushed to the front themes of childhood pain, innocence, and solitude. Red eyes are used to evoke an emotion of pain and bright colors are used to give the subject attention. In such events of destruction and hopelessness, someone might need to hear that there is hope.
