In my Star Child Series I create sculptural vessels to negotiate and explore the intersections of various influences including: my formative influences as a studio potter, with my interest in Nkisi objects, West African Ceremonial Masks, early Christian Paintings, and Funkadelic Album covers of the 1970s.
